This is the result of my progressive painting experiment! It was a lot of fun, but also a lot of work so I probably won't do it again lol. This is my Christmas witch. If you haven't noticed yet, I'm trying to do all the holidays and seasons because I'm planning a calendar for 2009! I want to do both a witch and a mermaid calendar, and this will of course be the December witch. The next thing on my list to do is a December mermaid so stay tuned! And thanks so much for looking. :hug:

niiice colors and always a ton of little details not be over looked! you really have a keen knack for assembing all the right bits into a paiting so they are more like little snapshots of a moment, rather than just a prety posed figure! Yummy colors and the cats are cute!... i went to the painting progress page and that was awesome to see the progress of the piece! =D

Thank you so much!! I'm glad you enjoyed it! And you really described what I try to capture in my paintings! I was talking to my mom about it the other day and I really try to show you a moment in time...almost something that you're not supposed to see. Like you're walking through a forest and you just happen upon a witch or mermaid and she stops what she's doing and smiles at you! So I'm glad you get it. :hug:
